Finals are coming up....didn't we just have mid-terms? It feels like school just drags towards mid-terms than after that everything is in super fast speed. Unless I'm at work. In which case everything moves all slow like.
I've been keeping up with getting articles in at The Michigan Journal, so much so that I feel an editorial position may someday be within grasp. I would love that. I'd even do copy editor. I really want to live and experience all phases of the newspaper.
I have three jobs still. Now I work at the jewelry counter at a department store at the 12 oaks mall. As well as working at the library Detroit Public Radio officially hired me a sub/temp person with possibilities of hiring me. Anyway, pretty soon I'll get paid for being there, which is the only way to improve on what an amazing experience it's been.
Today I presented my project about my internship at the internship seminar all CASL kids have to take. I did really well. I got lots of questions and enthusiasm. I think my love of the subject rubbed off on my audience. It always makes me miss the old Forensics club at school, where I would debate people and give speeches formulated in seconds. I loved it. I really did. I was a professional at off the cuff speeches. It was great fun.
Anyway, Turkey day is coming up, which means my new diet is gonna go down the tubes. Although I love being able to walk to the school gym from classes. I have actually stayed with this whole working out/not eating like a slob thing for a couple of weeks now. All to squeeze into a cocktail dress before my boyfriends big party. The things we do for romance in our youth.
I know this is a pretty boring post, but when you're bouncing from school to a library desk to a jewlery counter life isn't very interesting. Surviving is all I'm into now.
The snow is beautiful though.
