I can’t believe that finals are
next week and classes are over. The semester went so quickly and I honestly
didn’t think that it would. Now all of us students are free for the next month.
Although it is the end of the semester, it is the beginning of a month of cleaning. I know as a mom it means that I get to scrub the house and do all of the things
that I ignored while I was in school. For me this time of the year is like
spring cleaning except it is winter cleaning. I always go through all of my kid's toys and clothes to give away what we do not need anymore to
charity. With the holidays, it is important to help out where we can.
Yesterday, my daughter and I went
out to the Detroit Opera House and saw the Nutcracker. At the age of 6, she
couldn’t understand why no one talked. I thought the event was particularly
special since some of the dancers were local. Many of the younger children dance
in the area and were asked to be in the production of the Nutcracker while it
was in Detroit. My daughter said by
the end that she wants to be in next year’s production. Oh, the fun that I have
to look forward to……
