Yesterday made history. Over 2
million people showed at the inauguration in support of President Barack Obama.
As the first African American president ever, he has showed that America really
is ready for a change. With all of the festivities, the inauguration became a
celebration of not only a new president but new accepting ways of Americans. I
thought it to be one of the proudest moments in American history.
I would like to point out that the importance
of the events yesterday was not really about Barack Obama. It is about us as Americans.
Every country has its faults and weaknesses but a country can only succeed when
standing united. With the war in Iraq, many have questioned the government’s
values with their own. Differences have divided America but now it is time to come together.
Difference of opinions set aside, Americans have been able to bring us back to where
America
should be which is standing united with our heads held high. America stand proud !!!
