WOW!! Time flew by and now it is time to start another blissful semester at University of Michigan-Dearborn. Over the break, I was able to obtain a work-study position at the School of Management. I am very very excited to start on the first day of school. I also obtained another small part time position outside of school for extra cash.
Now that is time to start classes again, I started to think about what I am going to do differently this year. Last semester I had a tendency to push off reading and do other assignments first. This semester I am going to read before it is discussed and then review the material after lecture. Another issue I had last semester is I didn't put aside enough time. I thought two hours was enough for one of my projects and it took me 14 hours instead. Time management is something I am going to work on this semester. To assist in my endeavors, I have already read the first chapter of each book and I am refreshing myself on my math before I head into class.
Although I am happy the semester is beginning, I highly enjoyed myself over the break. I was able to play with my kids, organize their toys, and do some other major house duties. Within a matter of a few weeks, I assisted in remodeling my basement so I now have a quiet study area with few distractions. I even read up on Feng Shui to help me out. Since I enjoyed the time off so much, the time flew by without me realizing just how fast it went. Needless to say, with goals in place and my plan ready I am ready for the classes to start.
